Freshman Midfielder for Salisbury Men’s Soccer
Hometown: Crofton, MD
What are your majors/minors?
What made you want to play soccer at Salisbury?
“I wanted to play for a program where everyone cares about each other, and a family atmosphere amongst the team.”
What has been your favorite moment as part of SU men’s soccer while here at Salisbury, and why?
“Scoring the winning goal in the Washington College game was definitely my favorite moment because it was the first game that I had the opportunity to start for Salisbury and to score a winning goal that early really meant a lot.”
You’re listed as a midfielder, but have you always played that position? What do you enjoy about your part on the field?
“I have always played as an Attacking Midfielder, but I’m definitely a type of player that likes to get forward and score goals in creative ways. So far, the role that I have been given by Coach Hargrove is challenging, but it’s one that I cherish, he has confidence in me, and I give him that same confidence back. He tells me to go out there to lead the guys, and score goals, I love it.”
What are your goals both individually and as a team for this season?
“Individually I want to keep scoring goals to help the team win games. In terms of the team, we want to win another CAC championship, and we have our goal to make it to the NCAA tournament to make a run for it all.”
As a freshman, what are you looking forward to learn or improve on during your first season?
“I am looking forward to continue gaining experience from the older guys like Brad Martinelli, Leslie Umunna, and Kevin Miller while also learning to become a better leader myself from those guys.”
What is your favorite part of Salisbury University Athletics or your team-environment here at SU?
“I like how everything that the team does off the field is always together. The team environment here at SU is very close knit. They are like my second family.”
What is your favorite part of campus life at Salisbury, and why?
“I enjoy living in the dorms and meeting new people. All the different athletic teams are very close and I like going to support them and having them support us.”
What are your hobbies and interests off the field?
“Other than soccer, I also have a strong interest in playing golf.”
Where is your favorite place to go for a meal or snack on or off-campus? Favorite food?
“My favorite place to go for a meal is Chick-Fil-A, and my favorite food is Mexican.”
Is there something unique about you that many SU soccer fans don’t know?
“Many people don’t know that I am a scratch golfer. I competitively compete in tournaments during soccer off season.”
