For the Salisbury University Men’s Basketball team, a spot in the Captial Atheltic Conference Championship game and a chance to defend their conference title will be on the line Thursday night in Maggs Gym, and for some lucky fans, so will a chance to win a TV.

20 people will shoot a half-court shot during halftime like Adrien Straughn did two weeks ago, seconds before the first half ended against Mary Washington University. A half court “Straughn-test” they call it.

Usually only one person from the crowd is called down at halftime, but Assistant to the Athletic Director Jessica Stoltz says she wants to finally give the TV away. Stoltz says if nobody makes it on their first try, all 20 contestants will shoot again until someone makes a half court shot.

Number two seeded SU will face number three seed MWU again Thursday night, after MWU won 92-91 in overtime against number six Wesley on Tuesday in the first round of the CAC tournament.

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. Admittance is free for students.
